The ESH Summer School 2026 will take place September 6-11, 2026, close to Amsterdam, the Netherlands.This unique one-week course is tailored for young researchers, especially PhD students, who have a strong interest in hypertension.

All travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by ESH and the Norwegian Society of Hypertension. To apply, please send a short application along with your CV and publication list (in English) to the secretary Ester Kringeland (ester.kringeland@uib.no) by March 15, 2026. The application should include a brief summary of current research activities and future research ambitions, clinical background (e.g. internist, cardiologist, family medicine, biomedicine, etc.) and main topic of interest in the field of hypertension.

 

The ESH 2025 Summer School will take place in Särö (Gothenburg), Sweden, from September 14 to September 19, 2025. This year, the Society will nominate two candidates who are members. This unique opportunity is designed for younger candidates, particularly PhD students, who are deeply committed to the field of hypertension.

Candidates are required to submit an abstract or poster in advance, which they will present during the school. The 2025 ESH Summer School promises an engaging format that fosters interaction between participants and the ESH faculty.

Du to the still unpredictable Covid-19 pandemic situation the ESH Scientific Council has decided to postpone the ESH Summer School again for one year.

The new proposed date will be September 17-22, 2022.

The venue of Sremski Karlovci in Serbia will be retained.

A call for nominations among all National Societies of Hypertension will be sent out at the end of this year. One can either re-nominate the existing candidates or elect new candidates.  

European Society of Hypertension Summer School in 2020 will be held from September 12-18 in Sremski Karlovci in Serbia. The venue is located a 30-minute drive from Belgrade airport and the local organizer is Prof. Dragan Lovic. The Summer School will be more interactive this year. Please nominate your trainees or PhD candidates for this once-in-a-lifetime event. Accommodation and meals will be covered by the ESH and the Norwegian Society will pay for travel by the most inexpensive possible alternative for members.
